Flags Over Flagstaff - Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Help our community celebrate patriotism every summer by
sponsoring an American Flag to fly proudly through the
villages of Eustis and Stratton. These flags will fly from
Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. When our goal has been
reached, a plaque bearing all of the names will be permanently
on display at the Community Building.

Polar Blast Thank You Note

The
Flagstaff Area Business Association would like to thank
everyone, in no particular order , who helped make the 12th
annual Polar Blast Celebration a HUGE success.A special thanks
to Jeff Brickley for the use of the Stratton Plaza Hotel for
Game Night, the Chili/Chowder & Stew contest, the silent
auction and the live entertainment. Thank you to Tony Aruda,
Gene Currie, Donna Pepin for overseeing the games.Thanks to
Sue Fotter, Gene Currie, and Allison Lemont for making the
Chowder/Chili/Stew contest one of the best ever!Thanks also
goes out to Melody Chase and Diane Nelson for a wonderful
silent auction.Thank you to all the local businesses and
individual that donated not only their services, but their
valuable time.
A special thank you to Diane Nielson of Tea Pond Camps for
countless hours on the computer, phone and in her car to make
this event such a great success! Her love of the town to spend
so much time on this event inspires us all!
Thanks to Rick & Linda Petronsky of the Eustis Village Inn for
hosting the Bonfire & sledding events, for serving hot cocoa
to all the happy children, raffling off the Polar Soda Bear &
providing great band entertainment during the weekend.Thank
you to Roger Spurling for donating the wood and making sure it
was there on Friday night to keep everyone warm !Thank you to
Linda Petronsky & Melody Chase for the work on the Dine-Around
. The White Wolf, Stratton Plaza & Eustis Village Inn all
offered some wonderful menus to those who purchased tickets!
What would Polar Blast have been without the great job done by
the Arnold Trail Snowmobile Club run by Cap Campbell? Thank
you Cappy & team- grat job! Thank also to Arky & Edna Rogers
for the use of the airport! It made the the Radar run safe,
fun and a success that everyone could watch and enjoy. Thanks
to the Lions Club for providing hot food at the site!
Saturday afternoon brought the Awards ceremony hosted by Rick
& Linda at the Eustis Village Inn, thank you for a great
ceremony. Trails End hosted the Super Raffle handled by Tony
Aruda, Marlene Knowles, and Mary Morris, as always they did a
outstanding job- Thank you! Jim and Elaine Poitrus handled the
50-50 raffle all weekend- thank you!
Hats off to Linda Lowell for a wonderful 8th grade breakfast,
to Cathedral Pines and Earl Myers for lighting the Christmas
Tree, and to Brandy Brougham for countless trips to FABA
storage for much needed items.Thanks to Mary Morris for
driving Jean Guttman, a.k.a "The Polar Bear" with both
spreading goodwill everywhere they traveled. Thank you to Mary
Henderson for staffing and the displaying the new Sam O White
photos! Thanks to the Porter House for hosting a wonderful
breakfast buffet Sunday morning- simply delicious! What a
great way to end a busy weekend!
THANK YOU to Melody Chase and Gene Currie for all the hours,
effort, and commitment to make this event such a huge success!
Countless hours were spent on the phone, making visits to
businesses to make sure everyone was ready, and keeping a
positive attitude through it all- great job!
Finally, thank you to our Sponsors! Patric Kersey from Miller
Lite went above and beyond to promote and help out with
banners, items for the auctions and spreading the word about
our event. Polar Soda, PFG Foods, and the Maine State Lottery
also donated graciously to our event!
