Help our community celebrate patriotism every summer by
sponsoring an American Flag to fly proudly through the
villages of Eustis and Stratton. These flags will fly from
Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. When our goal has been
reached, a plaque bearing all of the names will be permanently
on display at the Community Building.

ATTENTION FABA MEMBERS
Letter from Greater Franklin Chamber Partnership:
-
We are pleased to announce a new partnership program designed
to promote you - our members, and the beautiful Greater
Franklin County coverage area.
-
Our first project is a weekly listing of events and specials
that will run Wednesday to Wednesday. You are invited to
submit information by email to your Chamber or Business
Association for inclusion. These will be compiled and emailed
out in one document to all members each Wednesday morning.
Please follow these guidelines - you must include:
-
Town (this can be identified in the business name)
-
Contact name and one of the following: phone, email or web
address
-
Brief description (15 words or less not including town and
contact info)
-
The 'specials' must run for the weekly time period (remember -
Wednesday to Wednesday)
We will not be responsible for carrying weekly specials over.
You must submit every week for inclusion.
Deadline for submissions is 12 noon every Monday - no
exceptions.
The compiled list will be emailed out to each
chamber/Association director and emailed out to membership.
Once you receive this email - print it out and post where area
customers, clients and employees can read and take advantage
of all you - our members - and our greater Franklin County
area has to offer!
We hope you will agree this is a fantastic opportunity to
share with almost 700 different businesses and organizations!
Thank you so much for taking the time to be a part of this
wonderful endeavor,
Lorna D. Nichols, Executive Director -
Franklin County Chamber of Commerce
How FABA members can submit their weekly specials/events:
Email information (as described in above letter) to Lynn
Schnorr, Director of FABA, at
lschnorr@tds.net by
Monday morning at 9am.
Lynn will forward all the info to the Franklin Chamber by noon
on Monday, and the info sheet will be producted on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, a copy of the finished product will be emailed
so you may inform your guests, customers, co-workers, staff,
etc. and maybe even post for the public.

Polar Blast Thank You Note

Huge
thank-you’s are due to so many for the success of another
annual Polar Blast event in the Stratton/Eustis area!
Thanks so much to TransCanada for supplying silent auction
donations, and to Pine State/Miller Lite for their
sponsorship.
Thanks to The Irregular and to all those who helped with
donations . Thanks so much to our “polar bears” who made
appearances at all the events ! To our local businesses who
sponsored events that made the Polar Blast such a success, and
to the many local volunteers who brought their talents to the
event! We had everything from karaoke to cribbage tournaments.
And there are a lot of people behind the scenes who pull it
all together, so many individual volunteers. Thanks so much to
all of you who make it happen.
It’s one of those events that a number of organizations pull
together to make one great event. The Snowmobile Club provided
excellent trails and organized great events, which brought in
a great number of snowmobiles. The Lions Club was on hand to
provide great food, and the Historical Society opened its
doors, which makes for more activity for locals and visitors.
Cathedral Pines Campground lit the tree to make a nice,
festive atmosphere. The 7th Grade Class hosted a great Polar
Breakfast, and the list goes on…
The Polar Blast is truly an event for the entire town, and
there’s something for everyone. And it’s the people who make
these great efforts that continue to make Stratton/Eustis such
a great place for visitors!
Sincerely,
Flagstaff Area Business Association (FABA)
